Dueling Dhows

DUELING DHOWS -- After months, nay, years of sitting around the yard, the Dyer Dhows are finally getting the attention they deserve. I acquired the Dhows over the last couple of years, and now between customer projects, the time has come to get these dinghies ready for some summer fun! This project will include new brightwork, hull repairs, paint, and a centerboard trunk for one of the boats - with sailing rigs for both dinghies, one requires the addition of a centerboard trunk.

Continued Varnish Work (blue Dhow rigging)

Fresh off of vacation, and rejuvenated, I set about for a quick evening session of varnish work. I scuffed the surfaces of the blue Dhow's rigging with 320-grit paper, and then applied a lightly thinned coat of Epifanes clear varnish.
